Vermont is home to so many great experiences! Here are some of our family's favorites in the area.
Vermont Teddy Bear Factory Tour
The factory is open year-round, seven days a week. It is a must-see for kids and adults of all ages who live in or are visiting Vermont! We recommend planning to spend about an hour or more on-site at Vermont Teddy Bear.
Ben and Jerry's Factory Tour
The Waterbury site is the only Ben & Jerry’s factory open to the public. Their very first factory, built in 1985, continues to manufacture upwards of 350,000 pints per day while offering their fans a sneak peek at their humble beginnings. Their small Scoop shop, retail area, and tour route have remained fairly unchanged over the years.

Your self-guided tour of the working cider mill offers an engaging rural experience that is unrushed and free of charge. Santa's Village Theme Park
Find your inner elf at Santa's Village, a Christmas-themed park in Jefferson, New Hampshire. Enjoy rides such as "Rudy's Rapid Transit Coaster" and "The Great Humbug Adventure". There are also three theaters, two of which present live shows and a third that features a 3-D film called A Tinkerdoodle Christmas.
Maple Grove Farms
Visit their Sugar House Museum to learn about the entire sugaring process. Then browse the spacious red-roofed Cabin Gift Shop for maple keepsakes to take home or ship as gifts to family and friends.
Visit some of the great local shops that our family frequents on our trips to Joes Pond!
Here you will find all of your grocery needs, including
fresh-cut meats, snacks, homemade baked goods, and
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Don't miss out on their fresh baked goods! The donuts, cookies, cupcakes, and blueberry coffee cake are some of our favorites!
When visiting Vermont, be sure to include their Farmers’ Store on your itinerary. The Farmers’ Store is full of outstanding products, making it an easy choice to stop by on your New England adventure. You’ll enjoy browsing the fantastic collection of Cabot products and many other Vermont specialty foods. From a selection of Vermont microbrews, hard ciders and local and international wines to their impressive selection of Vermont artisanal cheese, you’ll be delighted with the unique products available at the store.
